Volunteers Needed for the Hearts for Our Hospital / Big Bike Weekend!

Published on 9/22/2019
Volunteers are needed for opportunities on Saturday to support the Hearts for Our Hospital Bicycle Challenge. Saturday is a fuller day (from 6:45 AM - 4:30 PM) with lots of opportunities for non-riders to help in a variety of ways. Check out the list below of volunteer opportunities and email Joyce Morgan, gobluego34@yahoo.com to volunteer.  Ask your spouse, friends, relatives and neighbors if they would be interested. Let's get this staffed pronto...

To give you  a better idea of what you could volunteer for, here's the number of people needed for each task:
  • Tent area - Saturday, November 9th  Need 4-5 people in the morning and 4-5 people in the afternoon for a few hours each to keep tables clean, take care of trash, and push in chairs, etc.
  • Rest area - Saturday, November 9th  Looking for about 15 people to prepare and hand out food and have water available for about 2-3 hours in these rest areas:
    • Bacall
    • Lake Sumter College
    • Webster Community Center
    • Lake Panasoffkee (Marsh Bend Outlet Park)
    • El Santiago
    • Girl Scout Camp
  • Road crew - pre-ride dates, flexible. Need help to place signs along the multiple routes.  Need about 10 people for  2 hours.
