Join Cindy and Dave Taylor as we return to one of Florida's oldest and unique villages.
 
Micanopy features turn-of -the-century buildings, as well as cracker-style cottages and gargantuan live oaks. Hollywood film makers have often used Micanopy as  ready-made Southern setting. Art galleries and and artists line the main street.

After parking behind the Micanopy Historical Society Museum, we ride the rolling countryside west of town. We may even find something unusual along the way.

Next, we are  treated to a docent narrated tour of the Micanopy Historical Society Museum. The museum is an interesting lesson in the history of central Florida.

An optional lunch at one of many quaint eateries along Main Street follows the museum tour.

The ride will be conducted at a 16-17 mph pace and is limited to 16 riders.

Driving time from the Villages to Micanopy is approximately 1 hour. Parking is behind the Micanopy Historic Society's Museum, 607 NE Cholokka Blvd, Micanopy, FL 32667. Access the parking lot by turning onto NE Bay 6th Ave from Cholokka Blvd and then left into the parking lot. Arrive by 8:15-Ride starts 8:30 AM.
