We will bike clockwise around Lake Apopka, Florida’s 4th largest lake.   We will be on no public roads, just dedicated bike trails including 17.5 miles of gravel/crushed limestone on the Lake Apopka Loop Trail and 30 miles of paved miles on the West Orange Trail, South Lake Trail, and Hancock Trail.  Tires of 32mm and wider work well.   We’ll have a rest stop with photo ops and a porta potty at mile 13.3.  We’ll stop again to eat our own packed lunch at Magnolia Park, mile 17.5.   Shade, water, flush toilets and additional photo ops are available there.  Finally, we’ll stop in Winter Garden at mile 31 for coffee and/or ice cream.   Assume a 10-12 mph pace on the gravel and 15 mph on the bike trails.
